Best Vibration Plates in the UK 2022

Are you getting bored of regular old treadmill cardio? The answer could be a vibration plate.

Exercising while standing on a vibration plate has been shown to burn more calories than walking on a treadmill.  There is a reason NASA has used these devices. They are an excellent and exciting alternative to steady-state cardio on a treadmill or bike.

There are many different models around, and they can be hard to tell apart. Therefore, it’s a good idea to do your research before buying.

This article will review the best vibration plate brands in the UK and considerations when buying a vibration plate.

Best Overall – Mirafit Slimline Vibration Plate

Check the Latest Price

The Mirafit Slimline Vibration Plate tops our list because it offers everything you would want from a vibration plate at a great price.

Different people and different workouts will require larger or smaller levels of vibration. 99 different speed levels give you almost endless customisation options.

With 99 speed levels, you will always have a speed appropriate for you and your workout. A superb feature of this plate is the detachable resistance bands. You can perform dozens of different movements while using the plate and kill two birds with one stone.

As well as being able to customise the speed levels, the Mirafit gives you the choice of 9 different pre-set programs. These can be useful on days where you are feeling drained and not very creative. Just choose a program, hop on the plate and get to work.

The wireless remote control is a nice touch which makes controlling the plate much more practical. Having to lean down to change settings constantly is annoying and distracts you while during a workout.

The Mirafit has the added benefit of coming in two different colours, orange and black. A  choice of colours gives you the advantage of choosing a color that suits your home gym.

You can quickly move this plate around, thanks to the roller wheels. Vibration plates can be quite bulky, so being able to move them easily moving them is a big plus.

Pros

  • 99 speed settings
  • Resistance bands included
  • Excellent value
  • Choice of two colours

Cons

  • Digital display, not LCD

Runner Up – LifePro Vibration Plate

Check the Latest Price

The LifePro is another excellent vibration plate, and there isn’t much separating it from the Mirafit.

It has 99 different speed settings, allowing you to choose the perfect speed for any desired workout. Older users or those of you following lower intensity routines may want to use lower speeds.

Younger users or more vigorous exercise will benefit from the higher speed settings. Always give your body time to adapt to any new stimulus, and don’t rush it.

The LifePro comes with five default programs, perfect for when you’ve had a long day and just want to get on with it. LIke the Mirafit, it comes with a digital display and remote control.

A digital display makes changing settings easy and practical. You can get this model in either blue or black. Both of these options are attractive.

Personally, we like the aesthetic of the plain black one. The LifePro weighs 15kg which is on the heavier side for vibration plates.

Like the Mirafit, the LifePro comes with detachable resistance bands. The bands are a fantastic feature. You can perform movements like curls, shoulder presses, or lateral raises whilst standing on the plate.

This is an excellent way of improving the efficiency of your workouts. For me, the standout feature of the LifePro vibration plate is the lifetime warranty.

The warranty means you are always covered, and you can even try the plate for a while and return it if you are not satisfied.

Pros

  • 99 speed settings
  • Resistance bands included
  • Lifetime warranty
  • Choice of two colours

Cons

  • Digital display, not LCD
  • On the heavy side

Best Premium Option – Bluefin Fitness Vibration Plate

Check the Latest Price

We have selected the Bluefin Fitness Vibration Plate as the best premium option. It’s an incredible premium option because it includes some excellent additional items and is one of the sturdier plates.

The speed settings of this plate come in 180 different levels. A higher number of speed levels doesn’t necessarily make it a better product, but it does give you additional customisation options.

Another reason for making this our premium pick is the LCD. This display is a step above the other plates and provides you with workout stats like time, speed, and distance.

These are useful to know and can allow you to track your progress over time. Like the other plates, it comes with five default programs you can use. One drawback of this plate is the lack of colour options; you are stuck with black.

As well as detachable bands, the Bluefin plate comes with four resistance bands of varying strengths.

Bands are a great inclusion and give you the option to customise your workouts further. These bands could be used around your knees when using the plate to strengthen your legs and hips.

Bluefin has also included a vibration plate workout guide and a nutrition & workout guide. These are a nice touch and will help you get the most out of your vibration plate.

Pros

  • 180 speed settings
  • Resistance bands included
  • Leg bands included
  • Choice of two colours

Cons

  • One colour

Best Budget Option – Evoland Vibration Plate

Check the Latest Price

The Evoland is our budget pick for this list. What makes it a great budget pick? It is small in size and offers you the basic performance of a vibration plate at a reasonable price.

The Evoland lacks the versatility of the other plates and has fewer different speed levels. Despite this, it has default programs that feature varying speeds.

A unique feature for vibration plates at this price point is the LCD screen. Whilst it does not track as many stats as the Bluefin, it shows you everything you need to know for a decent vibration plate workout.

The key drawbacks of this plate are its lack of portability (no roller wheel) and lack of colour options.

The plate is smaller than the others we have reviewed and very light for a vibration plate, weighing only 9kg. If you are looking for a small, lightweight plate, this could be the one for you.

The surprise feature of the Evoland, is the inclusion of a Bluetooth speaker. The speaker is a surprising inclusion for a vibration plate at this price point.

If you love to listen to music while you work out and have a Bluetooth-compatible device, then the Evoland could be a great option for you.

Pros

  • Bluetooth speaker
  • Resistance bands included
  • Excellent value
  • LCD
  • Lightweight

Cons

  • Speed settings unclear
  • One colour

Honourable Mention – Display4Top Vibration Plate

Check the Latest Price

The Display4Top vibration plate deserves an honourable mention as another decent vibration plate at a lower price.

It offers 180 different speed levels and five default programs, a decent amount of customisation for a plate of this calibre. It also comes with detachable resistance bands, which can be extremely useful during workouts.

The option of a pink or black plate is a nice inclusion. The colour choices make it the only plate we have reviewed with a pink option, which may be important to some users.

A basic digital display will keep you informed of critical metrics throughout your workout. You won’t get the detailed breakdown provided by the Bluefin, but it’s enough.

The big drawbacks of this plate are the below-average build quality and small size. This plate would still be great for anyone looking for a cheap and straightforward vibration plate despite these caveats.

It also comes with an inbuilt Bluetooth speaker, an exceptional inclusion for a vibration plate at this price.

Pros

  • Bluetooth speaker
  • Resistance bands included
  • LCD

Cons

  • Build quality

Factors to Consider When Buying a Vibration Plate

Vibration plates perform a simple function, but several factors contribute to a good or poor vibration plate. Let’s look at what they are:

Number of Motors

Vibration plates typically have one to three motors. Naturally, more motors equal more power and a higher price. Top-end vibration plates will usually have two to three motors. You can still find great plates with one motor, though, as we have done above.

Plate Size

For an average user, plate size won’t matter much. Larger users or those with balance issues may benefit from a larger plate to remove the risk of losing balance and falling off. Assess your own needs, and decide if you need a larger plate.

Functionality

Functionality includes things like speed settings, default programs, in-built display, etc. Cheaper plates will have basic functionality, fewer speed levels, fewer default programs and basic LCD or digital displays.

If you are looking for all the bells and whistles, then a more advanced plate like the Bluefin is a good choice.

Portability

For many users, portability is going to be a key issue. If you don’t intend on leaving the plate in the same place, you will need to move it around. If this is you, look for a lighter plate (around 10kg) or one with a roller wheel to help you move it. If you intend to leave the plate in one place, portability shouldn’t be a concern.

Additional Items

Most of the plates we have reviewed come with additional items, and they are a nice touch.

When buying a vibration plate, additions shouldn’t be your first consideration, but keep them in mind if you can’t decide between two similarly priced plates.

To Sum Up

Vibration plates can be deceivingly similar, and it can be hard to tell a good one from a bad one. Hopefully, using our buyer’s guide, you will now be able to find a vibration plate perfect for your own needs.

Whether you are young, old, training hard or just keeping fit, a vibration plate can have a valuable place in your workout regime.
